Self Help

Self help requires ultimate dedication; you cannot expect to help yourself if you go into it half-hearted. Obviously, I understand that when you are at your lowest this is extremely difficult, but there are ways to ease yourself into it. Here are some of the ways I have found to help myself from the comfort of my own home.

  • Drink more water
  • Do things that make you happy, i.e. reading or drawing
  • Exercise – even if that’s only a ten minute walk
  • Book onto a CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) course – I attended CBT for about 10 – 12 weeks and I definitely felt it helped me
  • Counselling

  • Headspace – Allows you to take ten minutes out of your day for guided meditation (This is a personal favourite of mine)
  • Daylio – allows you to track your mood
